Jamaican music icon, Buju Banton, received a Grammy nomination in the Best Reggae Album category, for his critically acclaimed Roots Reggae opus, Rasta Got Soul. Banton, collaborated with longtime friend Donovan Germain, Stephen Marsden and Wyclef Jean.

Rasta Got Soul was recorded over a seven year period and finally was release April 2009.

Since its release, the album has received rave reviews from an array media outlets including Billboard. This is Buju fourth Grammy nod, he was previously nominated for his albums Too Bad (2007) Friends for Life (2004) and Inna Heights (1999).

Paulina Rubio created new foundation to help children living with neurologic disorders

Acclaimed Mexican actress, singer and six-time Billboard Latin Music Award winner, Paulina Rubio along with Fellow supporters including Indy 500 winner, Hélio Castroneves and President & Founder of The Lili Claire Foundation, Keith Resnick announcement during a Press conference held at the ONE Bal Harbour to the world the launching of her organization, Fundación Paulina Rubio, a foundation created to benefit children living with neurologic disorders and their families. The press conference was hosted by owners of ONE BAL Harbour Resort & Spa Jorge and Juan Arevalo.

Rubio introduced her project in partnership with The Lili Claire Foundation, known for its A-list supporters including Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry and Randy Jackson.

Fundación Paulina Rubio is a project inspired by children in anguish, as a result of homelessness, birth defects and lack of education among other pernicious plights that many face today. By directing funds through other pre-existing organizations, such as The Lili Claire Foundation, children will receive a unique and comprehensive blend of support services including medical and behavioral genetics clinics, psychosocial counseling, advocacy services, information libraries, community outreach, ultimately improving the lives of families and children living with neurogenetic disorders.

Paulina also announces that she will hold an upcoming benefit concert title Paulina & Friends in April 2010 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. Paulina Rubio, her mother and Mexican actress Susana Dosamantes, along with VIP guests like Alex Pereira, Erika Koopman, James & Mindy Cassel, Jilian Sanz, Leonardo Davalos and Moses Zomana enjoyed a private lunch at the hotel’s restaurant after the Press conference.
