Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade joined forces again to host the largest event of the summer The 14 Annual Summer Groove. The Groove has it now know by most Floridian is a five-day fund-raising weekend event that has something for everyone: golf, comedy, concert, benefit dinner, youth summit, youth basketball clinic and sports conference, a free block party, an all-star basketball game and numerous exclusive functions.  This annual event and fund raising effort raised more than $7 million for local South Florida programs and initiatives supported by Alonzo Mourning Charities and Wade’s World Foundation. Grammy Award-winning singer, Wyclef Jean In an exclusive interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN`s Larry King Live Announces that he will be running for President of Haiti on the phone from Port-Au-Prince, said “Today I signed the paper and I am running to be President of Haiti.”

His platform for Haiti will be education, rebuilding, Health care, job and security. Clef also said “We need the Diaspora outside of Haiti to be part of job creation and galvanize our own people outside to help Haiti,” Clef adding that he begins to raise funds for his campaign he will be looking for his friends in the U.S. music industry and Hollywood for donations.

Haiti’s set to hold presidential election on November 28th.

Actor and Goodwill Ambassador Jimmy Jean-Louis speak before The Committee on Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere Hearing in Washington DC on: The Crisis in Haiti: Are We Moving Fast Enough?
