According to Anita Kumar the White House Correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers many questions about the Trump-Comey hug during a First Responders ceremony at the White House: president Trump was quoted saying “He’s become more famous than me.” The details are President Trump spotted FBI Director James Comey across the Blue Room and called out to him. “Oh there’s James.” Comey walked up to POTUS. The two stretched out their hands to shake. Comey leaned into POTUS who then leaned into Comey and patted him on the back. POTUS appeared to whisper something in Comey’s ear.

Various members of the white House pool are debating who hugged who and whether it should be called a hug, a bro-hug or half a hug.
