Grammy Award-winning singer, Wyclef Jean In an exclusive interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN`s Larry King Live Announces that he will be running for President of Haiti on the phone from Port-Au-Prince, said “Today I signed the paper and I am running to be President of Haiti.”

His platform for Haiti will be education, rebuilding, Health care, job and security. Clef also said “We need the Diaspora outside of Haiti to be part of job creation and galvanize our own people outside to help Haiti,” Clef adding that he begins to raise funds for his campaign he will be looking for his friends in the U.S. music industry and Hollywood for donations.

An initial 7.0 quake hit Haiti just before 4pm EST today with thirteen aftershocks above 4.5 have happened since the quake hit. As vallery Magazine when to press, news of fatality and damage were still coming thru various news outlet. Super Star Wyclef takes to his twitter asking friends and fans to pray for the people of his native country Haiti. He wrote, “Haiti just got hit with a Major Earthquake please call your family out there Now.” an hour later followed that tweet with a plea for support. He wrote, “Tsunami watch n Haiti right now! People unite… Haiti just been hit again with a 5 point 9 earthquake! Please Pray.”
